After much deliberation I finally bought myself a cutting mat, rotary cutter and grid ruler and I'm glad I did as they make the job of cutting fabric so much easier and a lot more fun, not to mention that the end result looks more professional although, having said that, I think I need to practice a bit lot more.

I bought the cutting mat and rotary cutter from an online shop called Pelenna Patchworks and was very kindly offered a free charm pack some of which I used to make these 2 potholders.

I really like these colours together and had fun slicing and dicing the different fabrics, now I need to practice my quilting as it's very amateurish but on the whole I don't think it's too bad.
