As much as I enjoy making gifts for friends and family sometimes it's difficult to decide what to make. A friend celebrated her birthday last month and after much thought this is what I made her, a pair of potholders because I know she enjoys cooking and a few cross-stitched fridge magnets.
I bought the fridge magnets from Cuddly Buddly, if you don't know it this is an online shop that sells a wide variety of craft supplies. I've bought from them several times before and their service is always excellent.
For the potholders I followed this tutorial (it also includes the link to the template), fabric from my stash and polyester batting and insulating material from this shop.
I like how the fridge magnets turned out and the potholders are not too bad either although I've made a few mistakes, in fact I think I might make a pair for myself.
