Alex's blanket is finished, hooray!! What do you think?

Crochet blanket

I really enjoyed making it mainly because I wasn't following any pattern (as usual!!), mixing the different yarns almost at random and not knowing what it would look like when finished and the best thing is Alex loves it

If you're wondering how it was made I joined together 9 squares like the one below to form the central strip of each granny rectangle.

Then I worked around this central strip by crocheting clusters of 4 treble stitches in the spaces, making 13 rows each in a different colour, as you can see below.

I repeated this process 2 more times joining the larger strips as I went along. To finish off I crocheted 1 row of 4 treble stitches in the spaces and that's it. The blanket is finished, Alex is happy and I'm already thinking of my next crochet project
